Ole Henriksen All Purpose Aloe Vera Gel

Up until the past couple of years, I had not been a big believer of aftershaves. From my past experience, they all smelled way too strong and had a stinging sensation associated with the alcohol. The one bottle I did own came as part of a gift package with a cologne I had gotten as a christmas gift and has been sitting unused in my drawer ever since.
I managed to have better luck trying an aftershave lotion that I bought a year or so ago. Thankfully, it didnt have the pain and dryness associated with the old school alcohol style. My only gripe was that it still just had too much of a fragrance for my taste. When my skin is fresh from shaving, the last thing I want to cover it with is more chemicals than necessary (perfumes, etc) . I just want something that cools my face and stops the razor burn. Simple right?
I mentioned what I was looking for to Sarah and she ordered this aloe gel for me. After my first time using it, I really did notice a difference - my neck and face was almost completely free from razor burn. It has very little fragrance, no weird chemicals, and does exactly what it is supposed to do.
I was surprised at how little of the gel you actually need to do the job. Only a tiny dab spreads out really well and lasts for a long time. For the first couple of weeks, I only had to use the gel stuck to the bottom of the lid before I even had to dig into the rest of it.
My only complaint is that since it is natural aloe, there is a slight feeling of a “layer” of the gel on your skin when it first dries. If you don’t use too much, and make sure to work it into the skin well, the feeling is minimal and should go away quickly.
Like its all-purpose name suggests, this aloe isnt just for guys’ shaving. I bet it would feel really nice on my face after too much time in the sun. Hopefully I won’t get burned this summer, but if I do, I have the remedy right at my fingertips. I might even let Sarah try it out too
Tip From Sarah: Girls, this would be great to use on your bikini line after shaving.
