Carrie Bradshaw

I love all of the characters for different reasons, but if I had to pick a favorite, it has to Carrie Bradshaw.  I love her fearless style, her crazy hair and all her neurosis.  She’s had quite a few hits over the years and probably just as many misses.  Either way, she’s a lovable character and you just can’t help routing for her quest for true love.

Shoulder length, big curly hair and minimal makeup was how Sarah Jessica Parker’s character, Carrie, was featured in the first season.  Her look and her style has come a long way.

Carrie starts to glam it up a bit in this look, but the golden blonde locks don’t suit her and her hair is just way too big!

As the series progresses, Carrie’s hair shrinks and grows out a bit, giving her more of a relaxed look.  I think this look translated well with her relationship with the free-spirit, Aiden (oh, I loved him).  She starts the exposed roots look that she carries with her throughout a lot of the show. 

Carrie starts working for Vogue and chops of her hair for a more sophisticated look.  I personally thought this look was fun and her color was amazing.  Her hair was light in the front and dark in the back.  This trend exploded and it’s still hanging on today. 

It didn’t take long for SJP’s character to start growing out her hair.  This style was used in the days of her romance with Berger.  I loved her hair straight, short and blonde. 

Carrie look gets more sophisticated and dark when she starts dating the Russian.  Her curls are replaced with stick straight strands and her hair color is more natural.

I love, love, love this look on SJP.  If I could get my hair color to do that, I would be a happy girl.  The dark hair makes her eyes pop and the light on the bottom gives her a pretty edge.
