Father’s Day Gift Ideas

June 5th, 2008 by sarah

When I think of my Dad, I think of all the chores he did around the house, such as digging around in the garden, organizing the garage, basically all the sweaty stuff that I would never really want to do.  Besides being a weekend warrior, my Dad also has a stressful job, so there isn’t a lot of room left for relaxing and pampering.

Pampering is actually my next topic.  How many of your dads actually pamper themselves?  How many power tools, or even worse, ties, has your dad received over the years?  How many of your fathers would actually buy themselves a nice grooming product?  I’m sure there are some rare cases out there, but I would bet that most of your fathers stick to drugstore brands when it comes to upkeep.  So, why not splurge a little on Father’s Day?

I’ve come up with a few gift ideas that suit any budget and will also give your dad the TLC he probably needs.

This muscle rub, by Maxwell’s, is perfect for the father who is always on the go.  Whether he’s digging a trench in the yard, or suffering from a pulled muscle after carrying that heavy load, this muscle rub will soothe the aches and pains to help him relax.  At $19.99, it’s a hard price to beat to keep your dad relaxed.

The Overhaul gift set, by Lush, is great for the dad who likes hand on activities.  If you’re dad has a hog, likes to chop wood, or mountain bike, than this is the set up for him.  $49.95 gets you all the products to keep your dad clean, smooth, moisturized and relaxed.

For the dad who likes to look good, without a lot of fuss, make sure you pick up the Ole Henriksen Men’s Kit.  For $70, your dad can have his pick of the line’s most popular products that will lead him to smooth skin and clean hair…fuss not included.

If I know anything about men it’s that they like a good shave and no added scents.  The Art of Shave has come up with the 4 Elements of the Perfect Shave, that will give you just that, a great shave and no superfluous scents.  The kit helps to relieve and prevent ingrown hairs and razor burn on both tough beards and sensitive skin.  For $100 your dad will get the pre-shave oil, shaving cream, Pure Badger shaving brush and after shave balm.  If your dad does like a little scent with his shave this kit also comes in lavender and sandalwood.

Dad’s Day is June 15th, so you have plenty of time to pick these gifts up in the store or order them online.  At the very least I hope these inspire you to get your dad something great, after all he deserves it!

About Cupcakes Taste Nice

My lust for beauty products has been around since I was a kid. I always wanted the most eye catching packaging and the sweetest scents. As a preteen I could not wait to get my first pimple so that I could try out the different acne products that were marketed to me in magazines and on TV. As I got older I just loved the girlie side of wanting to look and feel pretty. I love taking a shower on Saturday morning and having a plethora of products to choose from depending on my mood that day. I anticipate my beauty and style magazines coming in the mail so I can read and research new products. I even spend hours on the internet searching for factual reviews of the latest and greatest products.
