This Just In…
So, my husband just came up to visit me while I was doing a little research for my blog and that’s when I got the great idea to get him to put a mask on his face. I tried to get him to do it last night after we returned from our weekend long camping trip, but he wasn’t in the mood. Luckily for me, I scored tonight.
I told him to wash his face before we put on the mask (we used Booth’s Calming Tomato Peel mask) and I reminded him to use his ’special’ face wash and not mine. I bought him Nivea’s Energizing Face Scrub about 9 months ago and it’s still 3/4 of the way full. He tends to use my expensive stuff instead. As soon as I suggested he use his face wash I was quickly informed that he would be using my “puffy” face wash, aka my foam Cosmedicine Healthy Cleanse face wash.
When I asked why he never uses the Nivea face wash I bought for him he told me that he didn’t like it because it was too harsh and it had the “crunchers” (aka scrubbing granules) in it and he didn’t like the fragrance. I then told him that the Cosmedicine was almost out and he said we should buy some more for him. Well, okay…being that he washes his face maybe once a month with face wash, usually when I encourage it.
Right now my husband is sitting on the couch in our study/man room with his mask on and strumming his guitar…I’m going to ask him more about the face wash. He doesn’t like the “crunchers” (granules) in the Nivea face wash because they are too few and far between and it scratches his face and the rest of the cleanser just feels like lotion…once again, he doesn’t like the fragrance. He prefers the Cosmedicine because it’s easy to use and it takes the oil off his face without a lot of effort and it makes him feel clean and it’s fragrance free.
So, I guess I won’t be purchasing anymore Nivea products for my husband. I don’t know if I will splurge on a new bottle of Cosmedicine for him either, since he rarely washes his face, but I will try to find him a fragrance free, foaming cleanser on the next go around. Now it’s time to wash the mask off because he’s having a hard time speaking.

I think I need a photograph to capture this post accurately in my mind.

I’ll see if I can get him to reenact it in a month
