A Favorite
I first encountered the Vanille Fleurie (by La Maison de la Vanille) fragrances while shopping at Anthropologie. I was skimming the store’s bath products when I spotted these fun tin looking bottles with these colorful labels. There were 5 different fragrances so I started opening them one by one to take a sniff or two. I was instantly immersed in the sweet smell of Vanilla. I was in love, with all of them! The fragrance isn’t your standard ho-hum vanilla, it’s laced with these wonderful exotic notes, hence the exotic locations the fragrances are named after. The Vanille Fleurie line comes in Tahiti, Madagascar, Mexique, Antilles and Tropiques…and just let me tell you it was so hard to choose a favorite. I started to sniff, and re-sniff the fragrances until I couldn’t tell which was which and I started to form a headache. So, I decided to take a break and to ask a friend to come along the next day to help pick one out (I can be really indecisive sometimes). The very next day I was back and had my friend Beth sniffing all the different fragrances with me. After a few I asked her if she liked any and that’s when she informed me she didn’t like vanilla! At this point, I knew I was on my own. I somehow narrowed it down to two different fragrances, the Tahiti and the Mexique. I sniffed and pondered my little heart out until I FINALLY decided on the Tahiti. The notes in the Tahiti fragrance are vanilla, bergamot, amber, fruit, cedar, ylang-ylang, tonka bean and incense. Honestly, I think I could have loved all of them equally, but I am very happy with my selection. I love wearing the fragrance when I’m having a bad day or if I just want to smell sweet. It’s so hard not feel good when you spray this stuff on you. It’s heavenly, really.

Oh! I’m glad you did a review on this! I bought the body lotion on a whim last week and am now just waiting for my Sephora package to come. Can’t wait to try it out!
