Brad Pitt Joins Team Kiehl’s
Brad Pitt has joined Kiehl’s to develop an eco-friendly body wash to help raise money for green causes. The body wash will be made out of a biodegradable container that you can feel good about throwing away…into your trash or compost pile.
The Aloe Vera Biodegradable Liquid Body Cleanser will be available in stores in October for $16.95 a bottle. The bottles feature Brad Pitt’s own handwriting, but don’t expect to see Mr. Pitt in any of the ads for the cleanser. Pitt is merely a partner, not a spokesperson.
Neither Kiehl’s or Pitt will take any profits from the cleanser’s sales, 100% of the proceeds will go to JPF Eco Systems, a non-profit started by Kiehl’s and Pitt. Brad’s own Make It Right organization will be the first beneficiary of the deal.
Not only is the Aloe Vera cleanser the first mass-market product by a cosmetics company to be certified environmentally sound, but you also won’t have to worry about it being a limited time offer. Kiehl’s is adding the cleanser to its permanent line of products.
I know I’ll be scrubbing up with this green cleanser in October…and so should you.
