Fabulous Hair Day!
I have to say it, I can’t help myself…I’m having an amazing hair day! I haven’t had one of these in months. It could be because my new hair cut has fallen into its own (you know the day that you finally like your new hair cut), or it could be because the weather is just right outside (so not it, it’s rainy outside), or maybe all the stars aligned last night and I woke up this morning with movie star hair.
But, I’m thinking it’s because of the Aveda Shampure shampoo and conditioner I used this morning. I’ve had these mini trial sized bottles since Christmas. My mom was really cute and bought me this little gift set from Aveda that included the Shampure shampoo and conditioner and an amazing hand lotion and foot cream. I broke out the hand and foot cream several weeks ago (they’re wonderful) but for some reason I never paid any attention to the shampoo or conditioner.
So last night I spotted the bag that they were in and decided to migrate them to my shower. I woke up this morning, jumped straight into the shower and started examining my shampoos when I remembered I had the new Aveda in there. So I started to suds up my hair with the shampoo. It soaped up pretty well and had this great earthy smell to it. Not a patchouli earthy smell, but just a nice plant based aroma to it. I went on to try the conditioner. Same great smell, and the conditioner was light, yet felt moisturizing. Once out of the shower and after my makeup was applied I started to blow dry my hair and I could tell off the bat that my hair was looking pretty amazing.
So here I am, on this rainy Wednesday, enjoying a fabulous hair day. It’s the best thing in the world to walk around with your hair looking incredible. I went online earlier to read up a little on the Shampure line. After reading about the ingredients and what they did I became even more obsessed. The two main ingredients are lavender and orange, and both relieve stress and tension! Two things I deal with everyday. I’ve already started thinking what shampoo and conditioner I could use up real fast to justify buying more shampoo and conditioner.
And you can have your very own set of two 8 oz bottles from Aveda for $19.00, not too shabby.
…And just to note. When I say fabulous hair day what I mean is: my hair is shiny, soft, hairs are in place, no frizz, bouncy and just simply perfect. Ahem, if I do say so myself!

OK I feel like a nerd/stalker for commenting every day but I love your blog!
Have you tried the Pure Abundance line from Aveda? I use the Pure Adundance Hair Potion and I love it. It’s just a little bottle of powder that you sprinkle on your roots and it gives it a lift. It’s awesome! Especially for someone like me with fine/limp hair.

I love that you love my blog!!! Keep coming back!
I haven’t tried it out, but I will! I’ve tried out a few dry shampoos, but haven’t been too impressed. Powders I think work a bit better. I use baby powder sometimes, but I’m not crazy for the smell. Bumble and Bumble has a powder that has a shade for brown and blonde hair. Cake beauty has the same thing, but they smell delicious. Take a peek…I have a link to Cake Beauty under stuff to check out
