Warhol On A Bottle
I am down right in love with Bond No. 9’s new Andy Warhol inspired perfume bottle. I am bit of an obsessed Andy Warhol fan and can’t think of anything better to add to my perfume collection. One of the reasons I love the art they chose for this bottle is because it’s part of his earlier illustration days where he came up with the most wonderful whimisical drawings.
This isn’t Bond’s first Andy Warhol bottled perfume, but it is my favorite thus far. The perfume is called the Andy Warhol Lexington Ave. fragrance because it pays homage to the earlier days of Warhol when he was an illustrator, living on Lexington Ave. in New York City. Bond describes the fragrance as “lush” and “unapologetically seductive” with notes of blue cypress, fennel, roasted almonds, pink peony, creme brulee and sandlewood. It sounds like a fragrance that you wouldn’t mind licking.
I will say you have to be one of two things to want this frangrance: one, someone who isn’t on a budget (ever) or two, someone who is a huge fan of Mr. Warhol (or toasted almonds), because this fragrance will set you back $135.00 for a 1.7 oz bottle. If you are part of the group who has money to spend you can treat yourself to the 3.4 oz bottle for $195.00…and if you are one of those people who burn money for pure pleasure you can have yourself a 3.4 oz bottle as well as a limited-edition Robert Lee Morris necklace inspired by Warhol’s shoe design (second bottle, pictured above).
Personally, I’d be more than satisfied with my 1.7 oz bottle…my birthday is September 6th if there are any takers.
