Sephora Shopping Spree

I’ve had a Sephora gift card that has been burning a hole in my pocket for a month now. I finally put it to good use last night. I am so excited to get my new items in. Here’s a little sneak peek of what I got!
*Stila Lip Color in Miranda: I made a post a week or so ago about tangerine colored lips. It’s a new color that I’ve been seeing lately and I really wanted to try the look out on myself. I usually don’t wear a lot of lip stick, or even gloss for that matter, but I decided to give this stuff a whirl.
*Sephora BODY Super Hand Scrub: For whatever reason I’ve started focusing on the appearance of my hands lately. I’ve never really put much stock in them before, but my hands have been really dry this winter, so I’ve started giving them a little extra TLC. Another reason I’ve decided to take better care of my hands is because I’ve notice how fast hands actually age. Have you ever seen a woman who’s had plastic surgery and her face is taught and crease-less, but you look down at her hands and realize they belong to a 60 year old woman? Yeah, well I don’t want that! So, I found this hand scrub on Sephora and I’m anxious to try it out. I love a good scrub!
*TESS Put On Your PJs and…: I don’t know why I bought this. Probably because it was on sale from $20 to $10, so I justified the purchase. I was also intrigued by what the product offered. It’s supposed to hydrate sensitive skin and increases cell turnover, which help leads to fewer break outs. I also liked that it was a night time lotion and had vanilla in it. I’m an easy sell. I don’t know what I’m expecting out of this product, after my purchase I realized that TESS was an acronym for ‘Teen Everyday Skincare System’. Hmmmm…we’ll see.
*Philosophy Hope in a Jar: Yikes! I did it, I bought the smelly lotion from Philosophy. I just couldn’t help myself, I’ve fallen in love with this product even though it smells awful. I know I wrote a review about the bad smell, how my husband always comments on it when I wear it (and not in a good way) and how it doesn’t have any SPF. BUT! Since using my deluxe sample, my skin looks amazing and I just had to have it. I’ve decided to wear it at night since it doesn’t have any SPF, but that kind of defeats the purpose of buying the TESS lotion. Oh well!
*CARGO TexasLash Mascara: This was a total no brainer for me. C’mon…TexasLash? Being a Texas girl myself I knew this was a must have. Everything is bigger in Texas, so I’m guessing that’s what this mascara is promising…big lashes. Well I’m down for that. The CARGO mascara offers long, curly, thick lashes and I hope it comes through because it takes a lot for me to opt for something besides DiorShow. I must admit though, I’m really excited to get this in!
*Bliss Serious Seaweed Cellulite Soap: Seaweed is an ingredient that seems to be making it’s way into a lot of different products lately. I’ve already bought a few products that contain seaweed and have really been happy with the results. When I found the Bliss seaweed soap I decided to give it a try for a few reasons. The main reason is because it contains seaweed, but I’ve also never used one of these massaging soap bars and have always been curious. The cellulite isn’t really a huge concern for me, but I thought I would give it a try to see if it had any results. I’m wondering how this bar will hold up in my shower. Will it fit in a soap container? Will it melt in the shower after a few weeks like most soaps? I’ll let you know.
*Sephora Professionnel Flat Blush Brush #42: I’ve been a little more concerned about brushes than I have in the past. I have a few really good brushes, and a few cheapos. Over the last few years I’ve noticed the difference that price makes. While my more expensive brushes are still in perfect condition, my cheaper brushes are straggly and falling apart. So, I decided to start purchasing better brushes and I started with a new blush brush. I actually spent a lot of time researching the different brushes and against my practical self I ended up with the Sephora flat blush brush. I initially was going to go towards a more tapered blush brush but for whatever reason I opted for this new age looking brush. I really like a rosy cheek and this blush brush promised to distribute more color than a normal blush brush. Here’s the exact description, “This brush applies blush-with an extra pop”. Ugh, I was in. I’m still really scared about this blush brush, but I hope it proves me wrong. Blush Brush. Sorry, I just had to say it again.
I also must mention if you order from Sephora in the next few days, make sure you enter the coupon code GLAMBAG when you check out. You’ll receive a metallic bag full of 11 different samples!
I can’t wait to go home here in a few days and see my Sephora package waiting for me on my porch. Merry Christmas to me!
