Kick Your Color Into High Gear

September 9th, 2008 by sarah

Ken Paves, Jessica Simpson’s bff and hair stylist extraordinaire, has come out with a new product that will give a little life to your tired hair color.

His new product is called Boost Up Color Drops and it’s a part of his new Healthy Hair collection that is sold on HSN and at Henri Bendel (will soon be available at places like Ulta and Beauty.com).  The drops are available in six different shades (Beige, Brown, Platinum, Red, Black and Honey) and are added to your favorite conditioner to help give your hair color some life.

The great thing about this product is that it’s temporary; after one wash, the color is out.  So, for you dirty blondes out there, try the platinum to give your blonde some oomph.  And for those of you who don’t want to commit to a color or want to cover some gray hairs, these color drops will be perfect for you.

The .96 oz bottle sells for $39.95 on HSN.com, but right now HSN is offering a Healthy Hair Color Booster Explorer Kit that includes:  A full size bottle of the drops, .5 oz shine serum, 2 oz shampoo and conditioner and a 2 oz hairspray all from the Ken Paves Healthy Hair collection for $39.95.  I don’t know why they are offering this, but I wouldn’t want to miss out on it!

    Hi Mom :)

Yes it would…right now you have light brown hair with blonde running through it…so the honey would work really nice for you. You could also opt for the brown if you want to go darker for the fall. The great thing is that it washes out after you shampoo. Let me know if you want me to order the kit for you.

What is it, though? Is it a boost of color like John Frieda’s color glaze? Or does it offer more color impact, like a semi-permanent dye?

    Thanks!

Yes, you can get it or let me know where to get it. Also, let me give you an E-mail address that Jackie thought that you might be interested for scents for your soaps. It is Mountain Rose Herbs out of Eugene, OR. The E-mail address is: http://www.mountainroseherbs.com

    Love,

Hi Katie- It’s more of a color impact, but it washes out after you shampoo. I think you can use it one of two ways…one, by applying a few drops to your conditioner before applying it to your hair or two, you can apply the whole bottle to a bottle of conditioner. I’m planning on getting a bottle, so when I do I’ll fill you in on it.

About Cupcakes Taste Nice

My lust for beauty products has been around since I was a kid. I always wanted the most eye catching packaging and the sweetest scents. As a preteen I could not wait to get my first pimple so that I could try out the different acne products that were marketed to me in magazines and on TV. As I got older I just loved the girlie side of wanting to look and feel pretty. I love taking a shower on Saturday morning and having a plethora of products to choose from depending on my mood that day. I anticipate my beauty and style magazines coming in the mail so I can read and research new products. I even spend hours on the internet searching for factual reviews of the latest and greatest products.
