Double Duty Beauty
During my fantastic trip to Texas for Turkey Day I made time to stop by one of my favorite shopping spots in Texas, Southlake’s Town Square. Just a note, if you live in the Dallas/Ft. Worth area or plan on visiting, make sure to take time to visit this place…AMAZING shopping and dining.
Since I knew the trip would be short due to the presence of my husband and dad, I made sure to stop into one of my favorite stores, Anthropologie. I’m not only in love with their clothes and housewares, but I’m also in love with their vast selection of beauty products. They never fail to introduce me to a new brand that I have never heard of.
While in the store I headed over to the sale section and found a line of body and room sprays by Voulspa. The collection is called Mika and there are four scrumptious fragrances to choose from: Apricot Nectar, Tart Rhubarb, Thyme Flower and Tunisian Blood Orange. I initially thought I’d walk out with the Tart Rhubarb since I’m such a fan of rhubarb, but it was a little more on the room fragrance side for me; I couldn’t really imagine using it as a body spray.
Then I smelled the Apricot Nectar and needed to smell no more. The scent is so sweet and pretty with a little bite and it’s a scent that would blend gracefully in a small French town. A little descriptive, I know, but that’s really what I thought when I took a whiff. The scent itself is lovely, but the bottle really stands on it’s own. The bottle has a romantic vintage feel that fits right into the realm of Anthropologie’s look. Turns out that Voluspa actually worked with Anthropologie to design the bottles since this particular line is exclusive to Anthropologie.
As for a room spray, the most this bottle will be used for that purpose is when the spray misses by body and hits the air. This particular scent is too good to use on anything but your skin. Lucky for this girl, I found it on sale for $9.95 so if you’re in the Southlake, Texas area make sure to pop on by before the bottles are all gone. Maybe your local Anthropologie has the line on sale as well, but if not I do have to recommend shelling out the $18 it costs on Anthropologie’s website…who doesn’t want to smell like a lovely French village?
