I’m A Lover

January 9th, 2009 by sarah

Look what I got for Christmas!

My oh-so sneaky father-in-law (hello Jim!) got me two of the Harajuku Lover’s perfumes, G and Lil’ Angel.  It turns out that he’s not the only one who reads my blog because my lovely husband also bought me the same perfume, but ended up returning them after he found out that my father-in-law had beat him to the punch.  See, men really do listen!

I have to admit, Lil’ Angel is by far my favorite scent out of the whole bunch (there are five different fragrances).  G, is for sure the cutest in my opinion, but the fragrance isn’t my favorite.  On the flip side of that, Lil’ Angel is probably my least favorite bottle.  But, let’s be honest here, the whole set is pretty freaking cute.

The reason I love the Lil’ Angel scent so much is because it’s sweet and fruity, yet sophisticated at the same time.  If you smelled me as I walked by you on the street you’d never guess that my fragrance came out of a bottle shaped like a semi-gangsta, hip-hoppish looking bottle equipped with a school girl outfit.  Lil’ Angel is a fruity floral with notes of juicy raspberry, lush pear blossom and warm hinoki woods.

G’s bottle is donned with an Alice in Wonderland-esqu bottle with fishnets (of course) and is too cute for words.  Even though the fragrance isn’t a favorite for me, the bottle is well worth it.  I would have been just as pleased to have the bottle with nothing in it.  But, this isn’t to say that you might not fall in love with the bottle as well as the fragrance.  G is “Modern Gourmand” with notes of fresh coconut, jasmine, magnolia and sexy woods.  These are all notes that I love, but for whatever reason the combination doesn’t work for me.

So, I wanted to brag a little bit about my present and to tell you how much I love the Lil’ Angel fragrance.  Thankfully these bottles are only .25 oz because my perfume tray could not hold another bottle.  Literally could not hold another bottle.  My two little princesses had to take up residence on my jewelry boudoir…another Christmas present from last year!

Glad you liked the perfume. It was your sisters in law (twins) who chose it for you. Have a nice vacation.

About Cupcakes Taste Nice

My lust for beauty products has been around since I was a kid. I always wanted the most eye catching packaging and the sweetest scents. As a preteen I could not wait to get my first pimple so that I could try out the different acne products that were marketed to me in magazines and on TV. As I got older I just loved the girlie side of wanting to look and feel pretty. I love taking a shower on Saturday morning and having a plethora of products to choose from depending on my mood that day. I anticipate my beauty and style magazines coming in the mail so I can read and research new products. I even spend hours on the internet searching for factual reviews of the latest and greatest products.
