Katie Glam In Tokyo

March 11th, 2009 by sarah

This isn’t the long hair we were used to seeing Katie Holmes sport on her Dawson’s Creek days, and all I can say is thank you to Katie’s stylist for that!

I’ve been a fan of most of Katie’s more sophisticated bob choices…there was that one though that resembled a mullet more than a bob…but for the most part I’ve liked the short look on her.  But, her long glamorous hair style she wore (literally, hello hair extensions!) to the Tokyo premiere of Valkyrie was on a bombshell level.

I don’t know if the hair extensions was just a fun choice for the night, or a look she’ll be wearing for a more permanent period, but I would love to see her keep the style.  I’m actually looking into my future and hoping to grow out my hair (if split ends stay at bay).  Bobs and shoulder length hair are fun, but there is something beautiful about a long set of locks.

So, for you girls out there who are sick of that two inch pony tail start prepping your locks for gorgeous hair.  Make sure you clip off the dead ends, go easy on the highlights or dye jobs (if you’re going lighter), keep away from flat irons if you’re hair is delicate and look into buying a shampoo and conditioner for longer hair.  Pantene, Herbal Essences and many other drugstore brands have shampoo and conditioner sets just for growing out your mane and for a recession price!

And for you girls who are a little less patient or can’t grow your hair out past the breaking point, there are always hair extensions so you can look like Katie in a flash!

About Cupcakes Taste Nice

My lust for beauty products has been around since I was a kid. I always wanted the most eye catching packaging and the sweetest scents. As a preteen I could not wait to get my first pimple so that I could try out the different acne products that were marketed to me in magazines and on TV. As I got older I just loved the girlie side of wanting to look and feel pretty. I love taking a shower on Saturday morning and having a plethora of products to choose from depending on my mood that day. I anticipate my beauty and style magazines coming in the mail so I can read and research new products. I even spend hours on the internet searching for factual reviews of the latest and greatest products.
