Why I REALLY Love Target!

March 12th, 2009 by sarah

Let’s face it, everyone loves Target, and what’s not to love?  Target has cute clothing and accessories from designers we love (and probably couldn’t afford otherwise), they have fun home decor, an amazing beauty section and all this for drugstore prices!  But, in this economy even buying your usual body lotion can put a pinch in your pocket.

Being a beauty junkie in the present day economy isn’t easy.  I’ve even had problems actually doing reviews on my site due to the fact that I’m cutting back like the rest of the world.  But, what about those things that we really can’t get by without?  Things like face wash, moisturizer, body lotion, shampoo and conditioner…well, thanks to Target’s generic brands you can buy your favorite products without feeling guilty!

Target has generics for such brands as Aveeno, Cetaphil, Olay, Pantene, Caress, Jergen’s and even my favorite whitening mouthwash is half the price thanks to Target!  Just today alone I repurchased my usual face wash (Cetaphil), body lotion (Jergen’s Firming lotion) and mouthwash (Listerine’s whitening mouthwash) and since I chose generic, every product was half the price of the brand name formula.  Just turn the package over and read the ingredients if you’re skeptical…the price tag comes along with the name brand.

So, for you price-conscious ladies out there go one step further the next time you’re out at Target (or your local drugstore) and purchase generic.  It really feels good to be a savvy shopper and on top of that your bank account will thank you!

About Cupcakes Taste Nice

My lust for beauty products has been around since I was a kid. I always wanted the most eye catching packaging and the sweetest scents. As a preteen I could not wait to get my first pimple so that I could try out the different acne products that were marketed to me in magazines and on TV. As I got older I just loved the girlie side of wanting to look and feel pretty. I love taking a shower on Saturday morning and having a plethora of products to choose from depending on my mood that day. I anticipate my beauty and style magazines coming in the mail so I can read and research new products. I even spend hours on the internet searching for factual reviews of the latest and greatest products.
