Color Me Couture, please.
I am absolutely loving Lorac’s Color Me Couture eye shadow palette, it’s a great combination of non-boring neutrals that can be worn on ANY skin tone…stressing any here.
I’m usually not a huge sucker for eye shadow palettes. Not to say that I don’t have a few in my makeup collection, but for the most part there is always a shade or two that I’m not digging within the palette. Not so though for Lorac’s new palette…I am loving every color!
I also need to stress the fact that this picture does not do the colors any justice. Each shade, while neutral, has a bit of sparkly pearlescent. I saw the palette up close and personal this weekend and couldn’t wait to try the colors on (I dove right into the green first). Each shade is infused with Mother of Pearl so when the light hits the shade, it sparkles. And not in a divalicious way, but in a classy, glamorous way.
The set contains the following shades:
- Enlighten (shimmering creamy pearl)
- Style (shimmering gold pearl)
- Luxe (shimmering bronze pearl)
- Jade (shimmering olive green with gold pearl) and my personal fav
- Designer (shimmering black with gold pearl)
The wonderful thing about all these shades is that they are buildable. You can start out with a sheer wash of color for the day and bring the beyond cute clutch to work with you (this clutch is GLAM! I wish it were an actual bag) and apply a few extra layers of color on before you meet your girls or guy out after work. The picture below gives you an idea of what the color looks like on…remember, you can build the color to make it into your own.
The palette runs for $37 and is a Sephora exclusive. Pretty good price when you factor in the fact that all these shades are very wearable. Just please don’t use the black as a shadow…black is a liner color only…Sephora can sell you a nice eyeliner brush as well…and while I’m still ranting, several of these shades would make great liners. Okay, enough from me! Go try it out yourself!!
