Judging from your pics I think you look great as a blond because of your skin complextion. I don't think you need to be platinum blond but I do think a darker shade of blond would be a good in between and maybe you wouldn't have to color as much...

Jessica-
The first time I colored my hair brown, I was in college, and I stopped by my parents house afterwards. My dad came home a few minutes after I walked in and was surprised to see me there and was in mid-smile until he noticed my new dark hair and then the smile promptly turned into a total grimace! It was the funniest thing...then this time around I got a similar reaction from my husband...usually not a good sign!

Sarah, your website is adorable! i'm so glad I remembered to look it up! As far as the blonderexia thing goes I completely understand. A few months back my (ex)stylist talked me into low lights of my natural color. the result was a gross ash color. The first thing my dad said when he saw me was "whoa, your hair is brown...." and I started crying, you know it's bad when a male notices!

Thanks Holly! It's definitely a big change, but I am so tired of coloring my hair too! But, I must say that I have equal amounts of fun as a brunette. :)

I did kind of the same thing awhile back. I started highlighting my hair when I enetered high school and within a few years its was almost platinum, with highlights over top highlights over highlights. I loved it. It almost became a security blanket for me. Blondes seem to get more "attention" I always thought. Guys usually check out the blonde girl first... in March 2007 I was SO exhausted by the upkeep of my roots (I have a dark dirty blonde naturally which really is simply put, brown!) I walked into my salon one day and just said DYE IT! I, too, was SO surprised with how dark it came out. My stylist told me it will fade with a few washes so just to relax. When I showed my friends some of them joked I needed to start tanning more because it made look so pale. But its been over 2 years now and in within that time I've gradually gone darker and darker, some people even thinking I had gone black at one point! I am hooked on my brown hair and could never go back to being blonde. So hang in there, you'll love it eventually!! :)
