Texas Is The Reason

It’s true, Texas was the real reason behind my purchase of Cargo’s TexasLash mascara. I was almost out of my Dior Show, and instead of adding one to my cart right away (I was shopping online at Sephora), I decided to see what was out there. The last time I did this I got myself in trouble. I bought the IMJU Fiberwig mascara and was very disappointed in the results. I vowed to stick with my tried and true DiorShow from then on. But, this was before I saw the words TexasLash written on a mascara bottle. I’m from Texas (if you can’t tell), but now living in the Seattle area. If any of you are a Texan or know one, then you know that we love our state. So, here I am seeing this mascara named after my beloved state. I instantly thought this was a great name Cargo came up with, since everything is bigger in Texas, why can’t your lashes be too? I decided to be fair to my DiorShow by reading the product info before hastily purchasing this new mascara. The first promising feature was that the Cargo mascara was given the same descriptive icons as the DiorShow…3 different eyelashes meaning: lengthening, volumizing and curling. I read the whole product review and was sold. It’s now been my fourth day wearing the Cargo TexasLash and this is what I have to say about it. The first thing I notice about all new mascaras, even DiorShow, is that it takes a few days to really start liking the outcome. Kind of like a haircut, it takes about a week before it settles in. Mascara is usually a lot slicker in the first few days that you use it and I feel you get better results the more you wear a mascara, until the very end of course. The first day or so I wasn’t totally sold, but yesterday I started liking it more and more. The mascara gives great length, and curl and it separates the lashes well. It doesn’t give as much thickness as DiorShow does in my opinion, but it still has a great flirty look. I need to give it a few more days to see if this will be a repeat purchase, but so far so good. The only negative about this mascara is when it comes time to take it off. I can get my DiorShow off completely with just soap and water, but it’s more of a struggle with the TexasLash. It almost seems like a waterproof mascara (I re-checked, it’s not) when you try to wash it off. It’s hard to get off and the mascara literally flakes off. I don’t really like that part of it, but after some extra scrubbing it came all off. So, if you are a Texas girl or just want Texas lashes, I think this might be a safe bet for you. I personally don’t think you can go wrong with something named after the Lone Star state. Yee Haw!
