Semplifi Hair Care

I think when it comes to our hair, we all have something we want to change.  Maybe it’s too thin, too curly, too frizzy or the wrong color.  I for sure have my list of complaints, but I’ve also had my fair share of compliments, which at times can be a bit of a pleasant surprise. 

But, over the past few years I have dealt with ragged ends, hair that won’t grow and a little bit of overall lacklusterness.  To put it simply, I’ve had a few bad hair days.  But, this hasn’t stopped me from trying…trust me.  I have tried so many different formulas of shampoo, conditioner, and styling products that I literally ran out of space in my bathroom.

But as luck would have it, I was approached by a new hair care company called Semplifi that promised to ease my hair woes.  I agreed to test out their products, but the cynic inside me wasn’t expecting much.  When I got the package of hair care in the mail I was impressed with how the line was marketed…instead of giving you a specific shampoo/conditioner combo to treat a certain type of hair, Semplifi lets you mix your own cocktail to suit your own individual needs.

If this sounds like work, it isn’t.  The line comes with a Daily Renew shampoo, Daily Plus conditioner as well as their Volume Plus and Moisture Plus additive and a Style Plus spray.  Here’s how it works.  After shampooing you can either add a few pumps of the volume or moisture plus additive to your conditioner, depending on your hair type.  Once you are out of the shower and have towel dried your hair spray your whole head with the Style Plus spray, which acts as a heat defense and detangler and then if you like, you can add a few pumps of the Moisture Plus to your ends for extra protection and softness.

When I received the products in the mail, Semplifi gave me a whole mixture that was appropriate for my hair type and length (fine, colored, medium length).  I haven’t strayed from their cocktail much, but here is what I’m using:  1 1/2 pumps of Volume Plus in my conditioner, 10 spray of the Style Plus to my whole head, and then I add one pump of the Moisture Plus to my ends only.  The results?  Well, my hair has been incredibly soft, manageable and the breakage on my ends have been slim…and this is with me forgoing a trim for over 2 months.  Not too shabby.

I’ve really enjoyed this product for several reasons.  The main reason is that is has really whipped my hair into shape.  The other reason is because it is so simple and easy to use!  The shampoo and conditioner come in pump forms, which makes distribution so much easier.  I also love that you can use the same conditioner and mix in your own additive for your particular hair type.  Even though I have fine hair, I will occasionally use the Moisture Plus when I want a deeper conditioning treatment.  Plus, the additives can be used to not only help condition your hair, but also as a styling product.  I also love the Style Plus for its multi-taskingness…you can use it as a detangler or as a finishing spray.  All these products have so many different uses.

Not only do I now have less bad hair days, but I also have less clutter in my bathroom.  I also have to mention that my husband loves the product too.  I commented on how soft his hair felt one day soon after I had received the products and he promptly imformed me that he had tried out my new shampoo.  Being that his hair is 2 inches long, I don’t know if he needs a hair care system, but nevertheless it was a winner for him too.
