Lush BIG shampoo

Lush BIG shampoo

Hair products are one of those things that I think you can’t have enough of.  I don’t care what anyone says, they are not the same.  I have about 20 different shampoos and conditioners in my shower at any given time.  Some I’m forcing myself to use, others I use constantly.

Even though I never have a shortage of shampoos to chose from, I still manage to add to my collection.  One of my favorite places to buy the stuff is at Lush.  I don’t think I’ve ever purchased one of their hair products and turned out disappointed.  I was on their website several weeks ago checking for new products when I saw the BIG shampoo.  I read a few positive reviews and decided to buy it.  When I saw the tub I thought it was kind of pricey for the size, but one of the reviews I read said that a little of the shampoo goes a long way, so I decided to stay optimist about my purchase.

I tried it out the very next day and the first odd thing I noticed was the texture of the shampoo.  It is not liquidy at all, it’s actually a really thick texture with these little beads, that are actually sea salt.  The only way I can describe the texture is to compare it to foam putty.  If you by it you’ll know what I’m talking about.  So, I took heed to that reviewer and only took a small amount out of the tub and started rubbing it on the top of my head.  It didn’t seem to go anywhere at first, so I added a little more water to my head and instantly it started lathering up.  I love shampoos with a lot of lather and this one took the cake!  They say that lather doesn’t really matter, but for me, the more lather the cleaner I feel.  After I scrubbed away and rinsed, my hair felt squeaky clean.

This shampoo also has fresh lemon and lime to give your hair shine and bounce, and it must really work because my hair looked fantastic.  It was silky smooth and ultra shiny.  Just the way I liked it.  I only use this shampoo once a week because I think the way it works is that it strips the oils from your scalp.  That’s just me speculating, but I think that’s how your locks go from limp to bouncy.  Overall I give this shampoo a super high rating.  I think anyone could use this shampoo for thier hair and on top of that, it’s fun to use!!

UPDATE:  I cannot stress enough how little of this stuff you really need to use.  I’ve used this product several times now and each time I end up putting too much in my hair.  Seriously, just use a small amount and add more if you need to.  You’ll see!

About Cupcakes Taste Nice

My lust for beauty products has been around since I was a kid. I always wanted the most eye catching packaging and the sweetest scents. As a preteen I could not wait to get my first pimple so that I could try out the different acne products that were marketed to me in magazines and on TV. As I got older I just loved the girlie side of wanting to look and feel pretty. I love taking a shower on Saturday morning and having a plethora of products to choose from depending on my mood that day. I anticipate my beauty and style magazines coming in the mail so I can read and research new products. I even spend hours on the internet searching for factual reviews of the latest and greatest products.
