TexasLash…The Low Down

May 22nd, 2008 by sarah

I’m just about at the end of my TexasLash mascara, so I’ve decided to give you my complete review of the product.

I have to say that this is one of the best mascaras out there, and I’ve tried a lot.  I’ve used everything from Chanel, YSL, MAC, Estee Lauder, Fresh, BadGal and DiorShow…DiorShow being my favorite mascara until I discovered Cargo’s TexasLash.

The reason that I loved this mascara so much is that it worked from beginning to end.  My lashes were full, thick, curled and coated.  I loved the dramatic, flirty look it gave me, but it never looked too done up; I didn’t feel like I had a bunch of goopy mascara on my lids.  I also liked the fact that the mascara never started to age on me.  Sometimes towards the end, mascaras have a tendency to start getting dry which makes it harder to put on.  My mascara is almost gone and it’s still performing like it was in the beginning.

If I had to give one critique to the mascara, it would be that at first it was frustrating to remove.  The mascara literally coats your lashes, so when I washed my face at night it would flake off, I couldn’t just wash it and go.  So, just know that you will have to wash your eyes really well if you use a cleanser that removes makeup, or just invest in an eye makeup remover.

I’m debating whether or not I want to try Too Faced, Lash Injection mascara now that my TexasLash is nearing the end.  I’ve heard good things about it, but I really feel that I’ve found a winner with TexasLash.  I know Lash Injection has a mini version of their mascara, so maybe I’ll give that a shot.  If it sucks, I’ll just go back to TexasLash.

If you’re looking for a mascara that gives your eyes a wakeup call, some oomph, and a lot of flirt, than TexasLash will you that and a whole lot more…why?  Because everything is bigger in Texas ya’ll!!!

I may have to try this; your review is appealing. I use CoverGirl Lash Blast, which is the best mascara I’ve ever tried, and I too have tried them all. I prefer dark, thick lashes over long ones. The Lashblast does definitely dry out towards the bottom of the tube.

I’ve heard a lot of good things about CoverGirl’s mascara, I just always forget to try it.

I think you’d love TexasLash…you will for sure get dark, thick lashes from this.

About Cupcakes Taste Nice

My lust for beauty products has been around since I was a kid. I always wanted the most eye catching packaging and the sweetest scents. As a preteen I could not wait to get my first pimple so that I could try out the different acne products that were marketed to me in magazines and on TV. As I got older I just loved the girlie side of wanting to look and feel pretty. I love taking a shower on Saturday morning and having a plethora of products to choose from depending on my mood that day. I anticipate my beauty and style magazines coming in the mail so I can read and research new products. I even spend hours on the internet searching for factual reviews of the latest and greatest products.
